Max brenner st ives
Max Brenner is a chocolate restaurant and retail brand. The company is worldwide and operates in more than 50 locations internationally. Max Brenner is well known for their delicious fondue, crepes, waffles and hot chocolate.
The Max Brenner located in St Ives is personally one of my favourites although any Max Brenner surpasses my chocolaty needs. I haven’t heard of one teen in the area that claims that they do not enjoy their experiences at Max Brenner St Ives.
The chocolate restaurant is located opposite St Ives village on Mona Vale road. The exterior and interior are covered in cocoa coloured paint and eccentric doodles that are considered as Max Brenner trademarks. The outdoor area has scattered tables and chairs located around the covered sitting area. The inside has been perfectly designed to entice the consumers to the tasty chocolate surrounding them. As you enter the shop you immediately notice waist high tanks of melted chocolate with pipes all over the roof from the tanks towards the serving counter.
When we finally reached the menu we were tempted to try everything! We perused the menu for a bit and finally chose the Chocolate Fondue for Two ($16.00) and two Strawberry Floats ($8.20) . As we went in on a quiet Tuesday mid afternoon it only took fifteen minutes to prepare our two drinks and fondue. They arrived and we immediately dug in. The strawberry float consisted of white chocolate and fresh strawberries blended together with ice cream was one of the most delicious choctails I have ever tasted. The fondue for two entailed of two fondue sets. One was filled with milk chocolate and the other was occupied with dark chocolate. There was also two medium sized bowls packed with marshmallows and cut up banana bread in one and chopped up banana and whole strawberries. All of the ingredients combined to make the prefect taste inside your mouth. It was honestly the best tasting melted chocolate I have ever experienced in a fondue ever!

After devouring our drinks and fondue we were intrigued to try more of this chocolaty heaven. We ordered a Chocolate Lick ($2.50) and an Exploding Chocolate Shock ($5.50). At this stage there were a couple more customers mingling over their chocolate treats. When the friendly waiter placed our chocolate on the table my mouth immediately watered. Although it did take a little longer to provide our chocolate, it was well worth the wait. The Chocolate Lick consists of your very own pot of milk chocolate with white chocolate chips sprinkled over the top of the milk chocolate. The Exploding Chocolate Shock involves pure melted milk chocolate with popping candies thrown throughout the chocolate with white chocolate chips sprinkled over the top.
Overall my experience at Max Brenner St Ives was very positive. Many factors contributed to this judgement including the friendly staff, the great table service, the overall cleanliness presented, the layout of the restaurant and of course the yummy chocolate!
I researched some other people’s opinions on this shop in St Ives and got some mixed reviews. I found out that many of the more negative reviews are from older people and the more positive reviews were by teens.
